Vietnam-Russia Business Forum as a sign of dynamic cooperation
On December, 13 Expocentre Fairgrounds hosted the Vietnam-Russia Business Forum. It was organized by the Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency (VIETRADE) of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam as part of the Vietnamese business mission that arrived in Russia to expand trade and economic relations between Vietnam and Russia.
The Forum participants were representatives of the Vietnamese Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Russian Ministry of Economic Development, the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Embassy of Vietnam in Russia, and over 80 Russian and Vietnamese companies from different sectors of economy.
Deputy Director General of VIETRADE Mr. Hoang Linh and trade counsellor of the Embassy of Vietnam in Russia Mr. Duong Hoang Minh were pleased to note a sustainable development of trade and economic relations between the two countries and emphasized a positive role of the free trade agreement between the members of the Eurasian Economic Union and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
Deputy Director of the Department of Asia, Africa and Latin America of the Russian Ministry of Economic Development Andrey Zelenev said that according to the forecasts, in 2017 the volume of bilateral trade would reach its historic highs.
During the forum Expocentre management held negotiations with Mr. Hoang Linh and Mr. Duong Hoang Minh where the Vietnamese party highly appreciated the collaboration between VIETRADE and Expocentre and expressed their willingness to further develop relations including promotion of mutually beneficial cooperation with the Russian Far East.
The Forum participants agreed that nowadays both countries had great opportunities for substantial increase in bilateral trade and implementation of major joint projects in various fields.
