Expocentre organized a business mission of Russian companies in Mongolia
On June 7, 2018 the capital of Mongolia Ulaanbaatar hosted the economic forum "Mongolia-Russia Initiative 2018" where Expocentre organized a business mission upon instructions from the Russian Ministry and Trade and Russian Export Center.
President of Russia Vladimir Putin sent the forum participants a welcome address read out by his aide Igor Levitin at the opening ceremony and stressed the need of significant expansion of overall relations with Mongolia based on traditional ties between two countries and peoples.
President of Mongolia Khaltmaagiin Battulga welcomed the forum participants and pointed out the importance of reinforcing the economic relations at the present stage. He emphasized the need to create conditions for government support of the companies striving to enter the markets of both countries using the opportunities provided at congresses and trade shows.
In response, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia Denis Manturov pointed out to the beginning of a new stage in the Russia-Mongolia economic relations and encouraged Mongolian businessmen to make use of 64 Russian companies participating in the forum.
Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia Damdin Tsogtbaatar, Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Mongolia Iskander Azizov, Minister of Food, Agriculture and Textile Industry of Mongolia Batzhargalyn Batzorig, Deputy Minister of Energy of Russia Kirill Molodtsov, Executive Director of Russian Export Center Alexey Tyupanov, and other officials emphasized the importance of developing bilateral economic relations and reaching sales volume of 200 billion US dollars.
The business mission organized by Expocentre within the Mongolia-Russia Initiative 2018 included a series of panel discussions on key topics of bilateral cooperation, among them cooperation between border areas and export oriented companies on energy, agriculture, food industry, textile industry, and other sectors.
The business mission of Russian export oriented companies in Ulaanbaatar is being carried out so far.
